OUTER LAYERS
The outer layer should be highly protective: safeguarding you against the elements while keeping you visible. Garments featuring GORE-TEX® supply this ultimate all-weather protection whilst being supremely breathable.

MID LAYERS
Your lightweight mid-layer builds on the temperature regulation of your base. But it also protects you from the elements. Breathable and lightweight, the mid-layer should be water-resistant and fast-drying while offering complete freedom of movement. Look to garments featuring PrimaLoft®. This insulation feature technical properties such as water-resistance, fast-drying times and a light weight comparable to down.

BASE LAYERS
The foundation of your kit. An effective base layer should trap air next to the skin, minimising the loss of body heat. Perspiration also transmits heat up to thirty times faster than air. That’s why a base layer needs to be breathable, wicking and fast-drying: merino wool and thermal fleece are ideal base fabrics. Choose highly wicking and mildly insulating materials when engaging in aerobic activities in cold weather.
